Porsche announced its commitment to the further development of kitesurfing in October 2021 – complementing its long-standing sponsorship of tennis and golf. The sports car manufacturer is supporting Liam Whaley and cooperating with the kitesurfing brand Duotone. The similarities are obvious: sportiness, precision and a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible are just a few of the characteristics shared by Porsche and kitesurfing.

In Liam Whaley Pro Center Porsche is helping Liam to fulfil his dream of a modern water sports center with the presence of the Porsche lounge. Clients will be able to relax before and after their sessions in a special atmosphere, chat with fellow kitesurfers or get a course analysis to improve their skills off water. 

The Moorish-style Hurricane Hotel  is one of the few hotels in Tarifa located right at the beach, just 2km away from Liam Whaley Pro Center. It offers excellent views of the Straits of Gibraltar, 2 swimming pools and a very popular restaurant. The hotel has a gym and sauna, and also arranges yoga classes and massage. It has its own stables where horses can be hired to explore the surrounding area. The Hurricane’s restaurant uses products from its own garden, homemade pasta and local fish and seafood. It also offers charcoal-grilled meats. In front of the hotel is a spot popular with surfers. All rooms in the Hurricane Hotel have air conditioning and central heating, as well as a minibar and safe. Some rooms have sea views.

The beautiful hotel Punta Sur is located 1km from Liam Whaley Pro Center and 10 minutes’ drive from Tarifa. It offers stylish accommodation set within gardens. It features an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and small lake.Each chic room has its own private entrance and a patio. They feature a TV , air conditioning and a beautifully tiled bathroom. Guests also have free access to the gym and sauna facilities at its sister hotel Hurricane Tarifa. The restaurant at Punta Sur Hotel serves Mediterranean specialities. It also offers locally caught fish and barbecued meats.
